The Gembaku Dome, or A-Bomb Dome. I didn't even realise I had a crow in the photo until much later. Creepy.
I sat looking at Angkor as the sun set slowly, pouring pastel light across the canvas sky. My best friend to my left, my new friend to my right; silence, a mutual companion. The light buzz of twilight insects intertwined with soft clicks of camera shutters and silent nods of approval, appreciation and awe. A lifetime of dreams, planning and trekking culminates in a silent audience, sitting next to a darkened pond, watching the natural show above a man-made wonder... History engulfs this place and makes me feel so small and insignificant, yet, this is exactly what I wanted. I couldn't be so happy being so small!
